Diggy is an underwater photographer and videographer based in Mumbai.

Post a long break of close to 10 years, Diggy came back to wildlife photography, albeit with a twist. In 2006, he jumped in to the underwater world and never looked back. Starting off with a small compact canon G7, he moved onto MFT Olympus E330 and finally to DSLR’s. Having used film cameras he also went through a complete underwater photo class with Mr. Jeff Mullins, an accomplished underwater photographer and teacher (http://www.reefwreckandcritter.com)to understand the digital format and shoot underwater. Through this journey he understood that one can get great images from any of these formats if the limitation and performing ability of the camera is understood. He also started shooting videos since the past couple of years. Diggy, has been writing articles for several nature publications and has also been featured in magazines, newspapers, digital media etc. He was the primary photographer for a scientific study project by National Institute of Oceanography to Angria banks . Diggy has also coauthored a book Field Guide to the Sea Slugs of India published by Bombay Natural History Society(BNHS) which can be purchased here He has always readily helped several NGO’s, including Sanctuary Asia, BNHS etc. for marine images and other services. He has won many accolades and awards both international and National for marine photography and is the underwater photo mentor for DCP Expeditions LLP Diggy has held several talks on underwater photography in India & teaches a complete course in underwater photography.
